The Impulse Group, a leading subsea engineering company specialising in flexible pipes and flowline integrity management, proudly reflects on a stellar year of business growth, new product development and global expansion, setting the stage for continued success in 2024.
With headquarters in Northumberland in the North of England, The Impulse Group expanded its UK footprint in March 2023 with the opening of its second office in Aberdeen, Scotland.
The group has experienced substantial expansion, strengthening its engineering team with 12 additional technical and design experts, as well as business support, sales and marketing expansion with seven professionals joining the growing team.
Chris Spraggon, founder and managing director at The Impulse Group, said:
“This expansion marks a period of rapid growth for our subsea integrity company – in the last year, we have grown from a team of 3 to 19 – and our expansion into Aberdeen has not only enhanced our regional presence, but better serves clients in the area and the sector as a whole. As the energy capital of Europe, and the oil and gas capital of the UK, our office in Aberdeen is ideally located to attract top talent in the industry and enhance our ability to respond rapidly to our clients’ needs.”
Achieving international standardisation in November 2023, The Impulse Group proudly obtained ISO 9001 accreditation, underlining the company's commitment to quality and excellence in its operations.
The group also announced the launch of a new manufacturing unit in Morpeth, Northumberland, in May 2023, signifying a major step in The Impulse Group's operational expansion. The new facility is already contributing to increased production capacity and efficiency.
The company's commitment to innovation is evident in the creation of solutions and the development of new products. One example is the innovative Umbilical Wireless Pressure Monitoring System, which offers wireless pressure monitoring that provides real time graphical data that can be viewed on a tablet or personal computer. With up to 800m range without the need for a booster, the system provides the necessary pressure monitoring within congested spaces typical of transportation and installation vessels.
With a keen eye on the future, The Impulse Group has more exciting plans for further product launches in early 2024, including new umbilical manifolds and more. Follow their journey at www.theimpulsegroup.com
